He drinks to drown his sorrows,
he drinks when they come to the surface,
he drinks when they float above,
he drinks when they turn to mist.
He drinks to give company,
To others and himself,
and he drinks to forget the presence,
of others and himself.
He drinks to remember the good old times,
he drinks to once again laugh at his petty crimes.
But the intoxication is utter temporary,
and so is his escape from life,
and in the end, he and his life
both are wasted.
