It marvels me how kids are always happy. Oblivious to the realities of life, theirs is the simplest, and yet their troubles are the most complicated.
They fall, hurt themselves, cause trouble, and are severely punished, and yet they manage to rebound.
Their minds aren't as developed as ours. Overthinking, anxiety and depression aren't in their vocabulary. They are shielded from pain and misery. They are innocent. Naive. All they care about is playing and having fun. When they laugh, every cell within them is joyous. Ecstasy is their way of being. They need not worry about a single thing! Even with the entire house starving, everything is served right on their platter!
They are unaware of the bitter truths of life, how everyone has to die one day, how no one cares, how fate punishes the most, and how, in the end, you are left all alone.
No one would dare to acquaint them with these truths because their happiness is at stake.
However, with these bitter truths and a myriad others,
So is my happiness and peace at stake,
So why take the risk?
It makes me wonder,
Sometimes ignorance is truly a bliss.
Greatly written!!!👏👏, but I kinda disagree 😅
