Prioritize Your Mental Health

Depression does not feel like being closed in a room with no light, because sometimes, that is what helps you sleep.

Depression does not feel like, not knowing what to say in mid conversation, because sometimes silence holds more words.

Depression feels like being closed in a room, with no lights, and feeling lost in the darkness as if it's all you have ever known.

Depression feels like, not knowing what to say in mid conversation, because words fall short and you are tired of pretending to want to talk .

Depression feels like, being wounded so deeply ,you doubt if you would ever heal.

When you are trapped in your own mind and nothing and no one can seem to get you out of that suffocating cage.

Depression is when the world has lost all its color and charm and at nights you ask yourself "why am I even alive?" and believe "No one cares".

But it is not just depression,it is overthinking, anxiety, stress and many more which make you believe that the worst place you can be is in your own mind.

It is not easy to comprehend and unravel these problems, but on an individual level, the simplest thing we all can do is respect the basic human need of affection.

In the end, all we want is to feel respected, understood and loved.

Feeling unhappy or sad is okay.

But letting that feeling sink in and accepting it as the new normal is not.

Stop promoting the "sed lyf" culture and seek out help. Everyone deserves to be happy . Prioritize your mental health - your well being. Take help from professionals or share your problems with your loved ones..all of us just want to be heard, and trust me,there are people who actually care about you and want to listen.

Everyone goes through their struggles alone ,at the same time. If only we could share the pain and truth instead of pretending to be happy and sane, the world would be a better place.

EVERYONE DESERVES TO BE HAPPY.

This World Mental Health day let us pledge to seek out help the next time we feel down or in the pit of overthinking and sadness.
